New Pantry Update

Our home renovation is really taking shape, and I love sharing updates here along the way! Our kitchen renovation/ build has been our biggest job of all, and we’ve had some huge updates lately! Adding the pantry update of our dreams is one of them.

Making our Dream Pantry

Something that I wanted for this home, was a large pantry that had a room for a sink and other kitchen essentials. I love the idea of using this space as a functional and working area that won’t add clutter or mess to the main kitchen, especially when hosting. It’s perfect because it’s a little tucked away, but still very accessible from the kitchen.

A few things that I kept in mind when planning our pantry and some pantry update ideas:

+ Make it Functional +

We kept in mind what we would use this space most often for. In a working pantry like this, functionality is key. I love that we added storage, prep space, an extra sink, and all of the details that make this the pantry of our dreams!

+ Added Storage +

So much extra cabinet space, counter space, shelving, pantry update wire shelves, and drawers were added here! I feel like the organizing stage of this kitchen will be quite the undertaking but will also function so well!

+ Sink/ Prep Space +

An added sink and prep space was key. This area will be where we often assemble food for parties, or clean up in a more discreet way. I like to stay on top of keeping our kitchen clean, but during a gathering I would much rather enjoy my time with each guest and not worry about the dishes! This way they can be tucked away!

+ Add in natural light +

I am such a lover of natural light! Adding in this beautiful window over the sink truly makes my heart sing! I’m dreaming of all of the kitchen sink window photos that will be created here.

+ Make it flow well with the main kitchen +

I carried the same cabinetry color into the pantry, and lighting that is different, yet compliments what is already in our main kitchen. These scalloped lantern lights really steal the show!

Even if you are working on a pantry update small, or a pantry update DIY, you can certainly incorporate function and personality!

I cannot wait to fully move into this space, and to use this pantry for all that we intended it for! I’ll be sure to share more updates once it is complete!
